a vacancy has occurred on the teaching staff of

Queen's College owing to the retirement for reasons

of ill-health of Mr.William Machell, Assistant Master, concerning whom I shall address you in a separate despatch.

2.As the strength of the staff has recently been considerably impaired it is desirable that no time should be lost in finding e successor to Mr. Machell. I therefore transmit herewith the
